“Vinyl”

A close-up of a phonograph cartridge needle on a traveling disc. The extremely narrow depth of field, in addition to the long exposure that blurs the motion, gives the illusion of the needle floating on a “sea of vinyl.” The shadowy reflection of the tonearm and cartridge on the vinyl is what prompted this photograph.
